John Wardle Architects for Paired Houses, Footscray
A pair of friends, graphic designers and business partners decided to live side by side in Footscray. The houses are mirrored in plan and form, pivoting around a central shared courtyard. An operable screen enables flexible courtyard configurations. The idea of pairing and sharing provides an alternative housing model.
