Shortlist: House in a Heritage Context
Rosstang Architects Pty Ltd for Dixon Chambers
A two storey brick Edwardian residence dating from 1910. Once the family home of prominent law figure, Owen Dixon, the original house was an enclosed labyrinth with a procession of narrow doors and passageways, all poorly connected to the outside. Innovative interventions revitalised this historic home with respect and delight.
