Louise Honman is an architect, built heritage specialist and cultural heritage planner. She was the architectural conservation member for the Victorian Heritage Council between 2015 and 2021. As a director of Context (now GML Heritage) Louise undertook heritage projects for local, state and federal government.
Working as a project architect at Third Ecology Architects she was involved in the design, documentation and project management of residential projects with both a heritage and a sustainability focus. For many years Louise worked as a heritage advisor to several Victorian regional councils and ran a small architectural practice specializing in residential projects, many of which had heritage challenges and opportunities.
Louise now volunteers with the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) and is active member of the Australian Institute of Architects heritage committee. The way houses shape our cities and ourselves is a source of constant inspiration to Louise.
